How?

The 50+ questions in this survey have been gathered from a previous survey completed in June 2025, which you may or may not have taken part in.
The initial survey was completed by individuals who had experience of chest and lung surgery, as well as chest & lung healthcare professionals.

We have reviewed and condensed the questions from the initial survey, and now we would like you to look at the questions gathered and tell us which questions are most important to you.

In this second survey, participants may choose to respond to questions regarding either chest & lung surgery for cancer, chest & lung surgery for non-cancer or both topics.

Who can complete this survey?

We want to hear from healthcare professionals, patients, family members and carers or anyone with an interest in improving chest and lung surgery care .

How long will it take?

It will take around 10 minutes to complete.
What do we mean by chest and lung surgery?

Surgery for diseases in the chest [but not the heart, food pipe (oesophagus), spine and breast]. It can include operations on the windpipe (bronchus), the lungs, the lining of the lungs and the chest wall. It includes surgery for cancer and non-cancerous conditions, planned or emergency.
