.
How can a volunteering strategy help your organisation achieve its mission and maximise the impact of your volunteering programme?
.
Join this interactive peer learning workshop to hear how local organisation Sister Circle developed a three-year volunteering strategy and implementation plan to create a shared vision for volunteering, support their organisational goals, and improve volunteer recruitment, support and retention.
.
Veronica Gutierrez, Head of Volunteering and Training at Sister Circle, will share why they felt a strategy was needed, the structure they used, how they involved others in developing it, and what they have learned from putting it into practice over the past 16 months—including successes, challenges and practical lessons.
.
You'll then have the opportunity to discuss with other local Volunteer Managers the potential benefits of a volunteering strategy for your own organisation, the challenges you might face in developing and implementing one, and practical ideas for overcoming them.
.
This session is suitable for organisations that are considering developing a volunteering strategy, are looking to refresh an existing strategy, or would simply like to share and learn from the experiences of others.
