The Psychopharmacology Examination for Psychologists (PEP) 2026 Job Task Analysis Task Force Application Form |
Thank you for completing the application form below to be considered for serving on the Job Task Analysis Task Force (JTATF) for the Psychopharmacology Examination for Psychologists (PEP).
Please complete the application form and submit an up-to-date CV no later than April 15, 2026, to Justin Sims jsims@asppb.org or attach it at the end of this survey. If you have any questions about this call for volunteers, please email Justin Sims.
There will be three required meetings of the PEP-JTATF (two virtual and one in-person meeting in 2026).
- First meeting – Test Definition (virtual 2-hours; end of May 2026). Objective: To discuss high-level changes to the certification program (e.g., purpose, the target audience, minimum requirements, scope of exam, and minimal level of competence required to pass the exam).
- Second meeting – Job Task Analysis (2-day, in-person; held at the ASPPB home office in Tyrone, GA, Friday and Saturday, June 12-13, 2026). Objective: Members will participate in developing a questionnaire to survey licensed psychologists with prescribing privileges in Canada and the United States. The survey will be used to update the PEP content areas and associated knowledge and skills statements, and to develop test specifications to reflect evolving competence and practice in prescriptive authority.
- Third meeting – Job Analysis Data Review & Test Blueprint (virtual, 4-hours; early-mid Fall 2026). Objective: Review the preliminary results of the job task analysis survey and gather your feedback on the domains, knowledge, and skills to be measured by the PEP.
This survey will also be used to recruit for open positions for the PEP EDC. Unlike the JTATF above, this is a commitment of a 4-year term on the committee with a possibility of a renewal for a second 4-year term.
