The Paseo del Río Project at Taylor Yard is focused on creating nature-based community gathering spaces, paths, and trails along the LA River, and a stormwater/ wetland habitat project. Below represents three design concepts that we need your input on!

At this stage in the project, we have presented three conceptual alternatives. We would like your feedback in order to synthesize these into a single, preferred design. Below is a list of features and elements included in each alternative. Please indicate whether you Like, Dislike, or have a Neutral opinion about these.

The River Path includes a generous seating terrace overlooking the river
The Turntable area is filled and reconfigured with a large, sloped lawn to watch sunsets, and with a seating area around the Turntable
Additional Paths meander around the Water Quality Feature and habitat areas
The Water Quality Feature includes a meandering stream and oval pools with small habitat hills adjacent to the pools. The overall experience will be of walking along a curving stream and small mounds on both sides of the waterway that would create intimate natural environments
The Pavilion is oriented towards the River; provides afternoon shade

The Turntable is left as is with no public access
Additional Paths include a linear path across the east side of the site from the Pavilion to a bridge over the habitat zone, and a curved path along the habitat area
The Water Quality Feature includes a long, straight linear stream and pools with two large habitat hills. The overall experience will be of a more open and expansive water course area with two adjacent streams, and on the east side of the waterway, two large mound
The Pavilion is located at north edge of the plaza area and provides afternoon shade

The River Path includes a small seating area overlooking the River
The Turntable includes a sloped path to allow visitors to get down into the existing depressed area
Additional Paths include a linear path along the water quality feature with overlooks into the habitat zone
The Water Quality Feature design includes rock walls and berms within the waterway that water winds around. The overall
experience is of a waterway with geometric rocks walls within the water’s path, and small mounds on the east edge of the waterway
The Pavilion is located as a gateway from the road and provides morning and midday shade.
