Superintendent Search - Stakeholder Survey
The Board of Education has begun a search for a new Superintendent of Schools. The Superintendent of Schools serves as the chief executive and educational leader of a public school district. They are responsible for implementing the policies of the Board of Education while ensuring fiscal integrity and compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as New York State Education Department policies and regulations. The superintendent provides strategic leadership for curriculum, instruction, personnel, and operations; oversees district finances, capital projects and budget development; and supervises administrators and staff to promote student achievement and organizational effectiveness.
We invite our stakeholders - community, parents, staff and students - to assist us in developing a profile of desirable attributes and qualities of this individual. The following questions ask you to rate how important various attributes or characteristics of the next superintendent are to you. Please respond by January 16, 2026. Once the survey period is closed, a summary of all responses will be completed and we will use it to help us evaluate the applicants. Your input is greatly appreciated!
