· Understand their legal rights, responsibilities, and institutional protections as nurses.
· Navigate workplace policies related to safety, violence, and professional conduct.
· Use emotional intelligence and effective communication to de-escalate tense situations.
· Respond confidently and professionally to disrespect, aggression, and unsafe behaviors.
· Protect themselves through accurate documentation and appropriate escalation pathways.
· Practice self-care strategies to manage stress, recover after difficult encounters, and prevent burnout.
