This survey will inform the development of the Comprehensive Plan and Strategic Plan Update for Newtown Township in Delaware County. The Comprehensive Plan process has been initiated by the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors and is driven by the ideas and long-term concerns shared by residents of the Township.
The Comprehensive Plan is a community-based, proactive tool used to create a vision, goals, and a plan of action for the next 10+ years in a community. In Pennsylvania, it can be the basis for zoning and development ordinances and is meant to reflect community values.
The Strategic Plan aligns with the vision of the Comprehensive Plan and creates a blueprint for the allocation of municipal resources, typically over a five-year period. It helps guide municipal officials on annual budgets and municipal income generation and expenditures.
Obtaining feedback from the community about the current conditions and future aspirations in the Township is vital to the planning process. We would appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey, and it should take only 15 to 20 minutes of your time.
Your responses will be confidential. Responses will not be identified by name. All responses will be compiled together and analyzed as a group. The survey will be available until June 1, 2026. Results of the survey will be posted on the Newtown Township website.
This survey is conducted by Newtown Township and Simone Collins Landscape Architecture, consultants to the Township. If you have any questions, please contact Pankaj Jobanputra at pjobanputra@simonecollins.com.
