Nominations for Ilfracombe Community Awards 2026 Survey

The Ilfracombe Community awards are about acknowledging those people and groups in our community who deserve a special thank you for the voluntary work they do; those unsung heroes worthy of recognition for an act of kindness, generosity or courage.

We are looking for 9 individuals or groups to receive awards with an overall winner for the Outstanding Contribution Award being selected from these 10 Winners.

Please complete this nomination form if you know of an individual or group who have made a valuable voluntary contribution to their community, school, family or our town who has not been previously recognised as a volunteer in Ilfracombe by these awards.

The Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday 15th October 2026 at The Carlton Hotel

There is no specific reason on which to base your nomination, but the following can be used to assist you in identifying worthy nominees:

Community Champion - An individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Ilfracombe community through dedication, kindness, and service.
Volunteer of the year - Recognising a volunteer who has gone above and beyond to support local groups, charities, events, or residents.
Young Achiever - Celebrating a young person (under 25) who has made a positive impact through volunteering, community involvement, leadership, or achievement.
Good Neighbour - For an individual who consistently shows care, support, and kindness to neighbours and the wider community.
Community Group - Recognising a local organisation, club, or community group that has made a significant difference to the lives of residents.
Business in the community - Awarded to a local business that demonstrates outstanding support for the community through sponsorship, volunteering, fundraising, or local initiatives.
Environmental Champion - For an individual, group, or organisation that has helped improve and protect Ilfracombe's environment, green spaces, or coastline.
Creative Arts - Recognising a local artist, performer, musician, writer, craftsperson, or creative organisation that has enriched Ilfracombe through their talent, creativity, and contribution to the town's cultural life.
Outstanding Contribution - A special award honouring an individual who has made a long-term and exceptional contribution to the town and its residents.
Mayors Award for Civic Pride - Selected by the Mayor to recognise an individual, group, or business that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to Ilfracombe and its community spirit.
