Parade Unit Rules, Guidelines and Information
The registration deadline is Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. All participants must sign the electronic parade waiver upon application submission. Vehicles used in the parade must have current proof of insurance. Only vehicles listed on the application will be allowed to participate. Upon submission of your application, an automated e-mail reply will be generated, which confirms receipt of your application. Applications will not be reviewed prior to Monday, August 31, 2026. If your group is accepted, you will receive a confirmation letter and additional parade information by Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
The Committee reserves the right to restrict, limit, accept, or reject any unit application. Due to limited staging space in the line-up areas, Car Clubs are not permitted to participate. All participants should arrive no later than 6:30 a.m. and report to the registration tent. The Committee also reserves the right to revise the parade placement of all entrants. All entrants must be on time and have a completed application on file by Monday, August 31, 2026. No entrants may enter the parade line up and parade route after the parade has started.
Entrants under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by adult chaperones. This includes youth organizations as well as school and non-profit groups. Groups with children ages 5 and under should consider using a float or bed of a truck to transport young children. The parade should consistently move without interruption. Parade participants are not allowed to distribute candy, pamphlets, or other materials before, during, or after the parade. This rule will be strictly enforced, and the violation is subject to a fine, and/or not being allowed to participate in future parades.
Please also be reminded that our parade is a community celebratory event and that we expect our participants to show dignity and respect for all. This means please use the censored version of musical selections/tracks; avoid the use of profanity and any offensive language while participating in the parade and staging areas; and use discretion to ensure that your performances/attire/costumes/uniforms are age appropriate and a positive representation of your organization.
