Please ensure that you have read the application information on the National Science Week grants page on the ASTA website before you commence your application. If you have previously applied for a grant, some of the application requirements has changed for the 2026 grant round.

To enable ASTA to consider your application, please ensure that all details are completed in full. Incomplete applications WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
You may download a PDF of helpful tips on providing the best information in your grant application to increase your chances of success, and a list of activities and event ideas for National Science Week that may provide some insight into the sorts of (funded and unfunded) activities that have been run in the past.

Due to the limited availability of funding, the following will NOT be considered for a grant:
· costs of transport
· food
· routine science incursions and excursions (such as to museums/science centres)
· activities planned outside of the official National Science Week dates.

Remember, we are looking for diverse and innovative ideas!
