It is being undertaken by Key Insights Pty Ltd and collated results will be supplied to Taronga Mines. The Taronga Tin Project is currently being assessed by the NSW government for approval.

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIS) for Taronga is predicting many potential benefits for Emmaville and the region if the Taronga Tin Project proceeds, including employment, opportunities for local business, revitalisation of Emmaville, contributions to community organisations and events, and, more broadly, contribution to the wider green economy through the supply of tin. The EIS assesses that potential negative impacts can be minimised. If approved, Taronga will be required to adhere to strict environmental standards to ensure that any negative impacts are satisfactorily mitigated.
