SWC Community Input Survey: Naming the Student Services Center

Southwestern College is in the process of selecting a new name for the Student Services Center—a building that houses key programs supporting students’ access, success, and well‑being, including admissions, counseling, financial aid, enrollment services, and related student support services.

As part of this process, the District seeks input from students, employees, and community members. The naming effort has been informed by consultation with the College’s Kumeyaay and Maya advisory communities, consistent with the adopted Facility Vision Plan. Survey responses will be shared publicly and will inform campus dialogue and the participatory governance process, leading to a naming recommendation to the Governing Board in fall 2026.
