Help Us, Help You Prevent Suicide

The following questions are designed to help the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation determine best ways to develop a new suicide prevention training program embedded within a more comprehensive suicide prevention strategy.

Possible risks to participants: the survey questions brings up the uncomfortable topic of suicide that may precipitate memories related to distressing events in your life.

Possible benefits to participants: you may help others in the fire service develop new mental health/suicide prevention practices. You may feel positively about this contribution.

4) Share the Load: Fire/EMS Helpline – 1-888-731-3473

This is a program run by the National Volunteer Fire Council. The program includes a help line and a text based help service.
