Kids Market at Neighbours Day Application - Applications Due By Aug 12

Saturday, September 12, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Wesbrook Community Centre (3335 Webber Ln)

Calling all young creators ages 6–18 who live in the University Neighbourhoods Association, UBC Endowment Lands, leləm̓ Village, xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), or Acadia Park: this is your chance to showcase and sell your handmade crafts at UNA's annual signature event Neighbours Day!

We are looking for creative kids offering handmade goods to take part in this community event.

What You Can Sell:

Handcrafted goods (jewelry, pottery, textiles, artwork, etc.)
Low-risk prepared foods (e.g. cookies, muffins, candies)

Eligible Participants:

Ages 6 - 18 by September 12, 2026
Parent/Guardian will be present for the entire event if the child is under the age of 16
Lives in the University Neighbourhoods Association, UBC Endowment, leləm̓ Village, xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), or Acadia Park neighbourhoods

Event Details:

Location: Wesbrook Community Centre (3335 Webber Ln)
Date & Time: Saturday, September 12, 2026
There will be 2 groups:
- Group 1: 11:00 AM - 12:45 PM (Setup starts at 10:00 AM)
- Group 2: 1:15 - 3:00 PM (Setup starts at 12:45 PM)
Fee: FREE

What’s Provided:

1 tent
2 chairs
1 table

Please note: Wi-Fi will not be available

Market Restrictions:

No homemade drinks
No food may be prepared on-site (e.g. lemonade, cupcake decorating, heating food, fresh cream on cakes)
Items must be made by young people ages 6-18. Adults may assist in the process.
Young people may not sell purchased items such as toys, clothing, trading cards, games, etc.

Please fill out the application form below. Applications are open between Friday, July 31 - Wednesday, Aug 12. Participants will be notified by Friday, August 15. Space is limited, so apply early to secure your spot! Once accepted, a follow-up email will be sent providing more information about setup and takedown.
