Mid Penn Bank's Anna Woodside Scholarship rewards four outstanding high school seniors with $1,000 for college tuition costs. To be considered, applicants must prove dedication to academic excellence and community service.

The scholarship is named in honor of Anna Woodside, a woman of great influence to Mid Penn Bank for more than 75 years. Ms. Woodside broke barriers for women of her generation by attending college, pursuing a career and spreading philanthropy throughout the community. The scholarship will reward students who show qualities similar to those of Ms. Woodside.

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be high school seniors who reside within Mid Penn Bank's service area. Applicants must enroll full-time at an accredited college, university or vocational school in the United States for the fall term of the 2025-2026 school year. Employees of Mid Penn Bank and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply. Customers and non-customers are welcome to apply.

  • Community service outline
    • Your outline should include:
      • A list of all organizations you have volunteered for throughout your high school career
      • Descriptions of activities completed for each organization including start and end dates
      • A contact person and phone number for each organization
  • Essay
    • Write a brief essay on one of the following prompts (in 500 words or less):
      • Who do you admire and why?
      • Why is community service important to you?
