Please note: This is the third and final community survey for the Memorial Hall Feasibility Study. We appreciate your your input on this survey which will help guide the future of Memorial Hall!

For nearly 100 years Memorial Hall has played a diverse role in our community. Through the years, citizens attended concerts, plays, sporting events and community programs.  With such a wide history of events over so many years it holds many memories for the community.

The utilization of Memorial Hall has evolved with new venues opening that offer concerts and other productions once hosted in Joplin. Joplin Schools included a performing arts center to seat nearly 1,200 people when it rebuilt in 2014. In 2022, Connect 2 Culture will open the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex just north of Memorial Hall. The Cornell Complex will offer a 470-seat performance hall and other amenities.

Memorial Hall has represented History, Culture, and Community and as been the heart of the Joplin city and region for nearly a century. With the changing of the times and venue additions, it is time for the City to take a fresh look at the future of Memorial Hall and consider the future of this fixture in the community.

We want to hear from you! Please complete this short survey to give us your feedback. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

The third of three public meetings was held on October 27th and included conceptual diagrams and renderings that illustrated what the future Memorial Hall may look like. Graphics from this meeting are included in this survey but the full presentation is available on the City's website here: Previous surveys and public meeting presentations are available as well.

Viewing the full content is recommended to comprehensively understand the proposed concept. Thank you in advance for your time and valuable feedback!
