NJACCHO will be holding 3 Full-Day Media Relations & Communication Trainings, facilitated by Tom Slater.

Recent infectious disease outbreaks like COVID-19 and RSV have demonstrated the need for public health professionals to be able to develop clear and concise health messages to a number of wide-range audiences. Often times, these messages are delivered through the media - which is ever changing and demanding more out of our health agencies.

These full day (9:00am - 3:00pm), comprehensive and highly interactive trainings will cover risk communication principals and strategies, along with two mock on camera interviews and critiques for ALL participants.

This training is appropriate for any public health professionals who are likely to interact or provide information to the media or other community stakeholders during an emergency.

Sessions will be held:
April 12th - Morris County Public Safety Training Center (Morristown) - COURSE IS FULL -WAITLIST IS FULL
May 23rd - Rowan College at Gloucester (Sewell)
June 7th - RWJ Fitness and Wellness Center (Hamilton) - COURSE IS FULL - ACCEPTING WAITLIST ONLY

Space is limited to 15 participants per session. A waitlist will be created once a session reaches the maximum number of registrants.
