INTRODUCTION

Thank you for your interest in the IFC Master Trainer in Facilitating Learning Certification program.

BEFORE you fill in the application form, please make sure you understand the expectations and consider whether the Master Trainer role is right for you, as it requires a high level of initiative, professionalism, and sustained engagement. Master Trainers operate as independent professionals — IFC does not guarantee training assignments or projects. Success in this role depends on your ability to proactively build and maintain your own client pipeline.

Please also make sure that you meet the minimum requirements. For your application to be considered, you must have:
  • Significant experience in facilitating learning (min 1,000 hours).
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field of study.
  • Unexpired IFC-LPI TPMA trainer certification.
  • Residence in a developing/emerging country. Significant work experience in a developing/emerging country might also be considered. Please note that IFC currently has a high demand for master trainers residing in developing countries, with particular consideration given to candidates based in regions where IFC currently has strong demand, including East Asia and the Pacific (especially Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea), West Africa, and other priority countries (such as Ethiopia, Mozambique, and Angola). However, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their country of residence.
  • Profile in the GLC directory of training professionals.
  • English proficiency.

Next, familiarize yourself with the questionnaire. Make sure you have all the information ready before you start. Consider preparing answers to open-ended questions in advance (especially the motivation statement and the commercial plan). One question requires you to share a YouTube link to the five-minute recording of you facilitating a training session. Please make sure the recording is "unlisted".

Please answer all questions in full and make sure your responses are concise and to the point. Mandatory questions are marked with an asterisk (*).

AFTER you fill in the application form, please email the supporting documents to GrowLearnConnect@ifc.org. These may include:
  • Copies of diplomas
  • Copies of certificates
