The Muskoka Lakes Public Library (MLPL) is building a Library of Things—a collection of non-traditional items you can borrow just like books!

A Library of Things allows the MLPL to expand its role as a community hub by lending non-traditional items—such as tools, tech gadgets, kitchen equipment, games, or recreational gear—alongside books and media. This initiative promotes access over ownership, supports lifelong learning, reduces cost barriers for residents, and encourages sustainability through shared resources.
