The Mount Pleasant Group Hospice Innovation Award recognizes innovative solutions, approaches, and program delivery of high-quality hospice care in the community. This award is open to any HPCO member hospice providing service in the province of Ontario.
The award is a cash prize of $10,000 payable to the selected hospice.

Eligibility Criteria
The hospice must:
  • Be a member in good standing of Hospice Palliative Care Ontario, in the organization category.
  • Provide Visiting Hospice services or Hospice Residence Services as defined by HPCO Standards

What Projects/Innovations Qualify for the Award?
  • Innovative approaches in meeting the needs of hospice clients by improving program outcomes; increasing access to care; or improving efficiency of hospice care delivery; or
  • Innovations that improve the quality of hospice services; or
  • Innovations that address the psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs of a diverse population; or marginalized populations; or
  • Innovations that improve volunteerism (attraction, diversity, retention) in the hospice.

Submissions related to the funding of innovations not yet implemented and requests for operational, equipment, capital, or debt funding.
