Millennium Park Holiday Market 2024

The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) is pleased to present the 2024 Millennium Park Holiday Market! The Holiday Market, held in conjunction with Chicago's annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, will kick-off the holiday shopping season!

Market Dates and Times:
Friday, 11/22, 12-8pm
Saturday, 11/23, 12-8pm
Sunday, 11/24, 12-5pm

Artists and makers of all kinds (sorry, no prepared food) are invited to apply. There is NO FEE to vend!

One vendor space containing one table, one table linen and two chairs will be provided for each selected vendor.

The City of Chicago will require each vendor to complete a Vendor Agreement which includes: A Certificate of Insurance (COI) for commercial liability ($1 million) including an endorsement naming the City of Chicago, Transwestern Commercial Services Illinois, LLC, Transwestern Commercial Services, LLC and MB Real Estate as additional insured (if you do not carry liability insurance, you may complete and sign the DCASE Release and Waiver of Liability), a digital copy of the City's Economic Disclosure Statement (EDS), and an Affidavit of Disclosure of Indebtedness to the City.

Vendors are required to be set up and ready to sell by the start time each day, and remain open for business until the published end times each day. Are you able to be on site the entire time?

* 9. RULES

Vendors themselves must be present and provide adequate staffing for their space at all times during scheduled market hours.

Accepted vendors may not transfer, re-assign or sublease their space. Shared booths will not be allowed unless otherwise approved in writing by DCASE staff.

The Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events is not liable for lost, damaged or stolen merchandise. We will have overnight security but vendors should not leave money or other items of significant value overnight.

Vendors may not consume alcohol at any time during the event.

Vendors are responsible for their own sales tax. The sales tax rate in Chicago is 10.25% (subject to change). Sales tax monies should be submitted to the Illinois Department of Revenue within ten (10) days after the end of the Market. I agree that I will indemnify and hold harmless the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and its officers, staff, employees & agents, committees, all sponsors, and MB Real Estate from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damages or loss of property which I may have or which may impact me on account of my participation in the activities of the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. I agree and grant permission to the City of Chicago, Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events to use my name, business name, stories, images of myself and my artwork or wares for event related advertising, publicity and promotional purposes. I further release and discharge any claim to payment for the use of any imagery of my likeness, artwork, or products. The City of Chicago, Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events its officers, staff, employees, and agents will not assume liability for any act of God, natural disaster, exposure to adverse weather and conditions, damages, injuries or any legal authority, war insurrection, civil disobedience, criminal acts, or any cause above and beyond the control of the City of Chicago, Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and the officers, agents, employees, staff, sponsors, and MB Real Estate.
