Welcome to Diversity In Interior Design Survey by the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID).

The BIID last conducted research into diversity and inclusion in 2020. That research allowed us to work with our Diversity and Inclusion Committee to create a strategy to bring about change.
We now need to measure success/change. We are asking all professional interior designers, junior and senior, employees and practice owners, to complete the survey to help us understand the make-up of the profession.

Our vision is an interior design profession that is open to everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, religion, socio economic background, age or disability.
By completing this survey, you will help us with the development of better and more informed, inclusive decision making.
It will only take 5 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. In addition to telling us some facts about yourself you will also be asked for your views on diversity in interior design. All questions are optional. You are not obliged to answer any of these questions but the more information you supply, the more effective our monitoring will be. All information supplied will be treated in the strictest confidence.
The results of the survey will be published on our website in December 2023.
