Official Funza Lushaka bursary applications open in October each year on www.eservices.gov.za or www.funzalushaka.doe.gov.za.

You’ll still need to submit the official online bursary application when it goes live – this screening form is just the first step.

Who should complete this form?
- You must want to study teaching and make education your career.
- You should be in Grade 12 or have already passed Grade 12 with admission to Bachelor’s Degree studies.
- This form is only for first-time university entrants starting studies in 2026.
- If you are already registered at a university, please apply directly through the official online Funza Lushaka bursary application process, and read our How to Reapply FAQ for clear steps.

Please note:
- The Funza Lushaka bursary cannot be used to pay off any existing loans or debts.
- Completing this screening form does not guarantee funding or employment placement.
