You are invited to take part in an equity study designed to support schools throughout Gwinnett County Public Schools. The study is to identify and understand patterns of special education, discipline, and gifted/AP/Honors by race/ethnicity, socio-economic status, language status, and gender. The project is led by Dr. Edward Fergus, Professor of Urban Education at Rutgers University and founder of Disproportionality Lab @ Collaborative Equity Solutions in partnership with the Gwinnett County Public Schools. The project involves learning about school and district practices and policies from school personnel as well as from the Gwinnett County Public Schools community.

Participation in this survey will take up to 12 minutes. You may skip any questions you do not want to answer. You may refuse to participate or change your mind and leave the survey at any time. Your responses will be aggregated into an overall report for your district. Your participation in the project is voluntary. If you decide to leave the survey, or decide not to participate, it will have no effect on any other project related activities. There are no known risks associated with your participation in this project beyond those of everyday life. There are also no direct benefits; however, your participation may help the Dr. Fergus and your district transition team learn more about the school systems related to outcomes in special education, discipline, and gifted/AP/Honors.
