Global Health in All Policies Survey 2025 |
Welcome to the Global Status Report Survey on Health in All Policies
Thank you for participating in our survey. Your input is very important in providing an overview of the current status of Health in All Policies (HiAP) in your jurisdiction and collectively across the world. This is the second iteration of the global HiAP survey, with the first survey shared in 2018. The information you provide will be used to inform the second edition of the Global Status Report on HiAP and provide comparative data to track HiAP action and progress between 2018 and 2025. Participation is voluntary and responses are confidential. The published results will be aggregated and will not be identifiable. Individual answers will not be shared.
This work is an initiative of the Global Network for Health in All Policies (GNHiAP) in partnership with the Centre for Health in All Policies Research Translation, WHO Collaborating Centre of Health in All Policies Implementation, based in Preventive Health SA South Australia and WHO Collaborating Centre on Health in All Policies and the Social Determinants of Health based in Tampere University Finland.
Since the first edition of the global HiAP Survey in 2018, WHO has developed a new collaborative multisectoral model: the HiAP Four Pillars model. This new model and its components have been integrated into this latest version of the survey to ensure a comprehensive representation of the current HiAP activities, approaches and thinking available. The HiAP Four Pillars model is constructed under the four domains below:
Governance
The purpose of governance and accountability in the HiAP framework is to provide a mandate and high-level oversight for HiAP activities. Governance legitimises multisectoral work and establishes accountability mechanisms to ensure success.
Ways of Working
Ways of Working describes the collaborative attitudes, mindsets, behaviours, practices, tools and processes used to implement, embed and sustain multisectoral action. Effective communication, respectful negotiation and mutual understanding of the drivers and agendas of partners are fundamental work methods to developing trusting and respectful relationships.
Leadership at all Levels
Leadership at all levels emphasizes the importance of advocating for new activities and supporting HiAP to foster collaborative practices. Effective leadership connects disciplines and agencies, cultivating collaboration and accountability
Resources
Cross-sectoral work cannot be sustained long-term without a resource strategy and consistent investment. The HiAP approach does not require large amounts of funding but collaborative work does require time, personnel and a dedicated HiAP budget.
