The College is proposing a new Certificate of Registration, Limited class, to register dental technologists competent to practice in a specified discipline of the profession (e.g., crown & bridge). The registration requirements include education, examinations specific to the discipline and current dental technology experience under supervision.

Why is the College proposing this new class of registration?

The Limited class will expand health human resource capacity, protect the public and support labour mobility by registering dental technologists competent to practice in a specified discipline. This model mirrors the nursing registration pathways in Ontario.
