About this survey
This survey aims to build a national picture of Australian craft and design practice, with a focus on the needs and challenges practitioners face. The findings will assist sector organisations to advocate on your behalf in relation to policy development, funding priorities, education and business support.
The survey is funded by Australian Design Centre (ADC) as an ADC legacy project in collaboration with the Australian Craft and Design Centres (ACDC Network), the National Association for the Visual Arts and Craft Australia (formerly World Craft Council - Australia).
Current ACDC network members are: Artisan; Australian Design Centre (until final company closure before 31 December 2026); Australian Tapestry Workshop; Canberra Glassworks; Canberra Potters; Craft + Design Canberra; Craft Victoria; Design Tasmania; Guildhouse; JamFactory.
About your participation
All survey responses will be anonymous. No names or contact details will be collected, and responses will not be identifiable or traceable to individual participants.
Data from this survey will be analysed in aggregate and used to inform sector advocacy, policy submissions, and funding priorities on behalf of Australian craft and design practitioners. Findings will be presented in de-identified summary form and no individual will be identified in reporting.

This survey takes approximately 9-12 minutes to complete, though it may take slightly longer if you have a lot to report across sales, exhibitions, and grant applications.
