Pico Rivera Active Transportation Master Plan |
Help Shape the Future of Walking, Biking, and Rolling in Pico Rivera!
The City of Pico Rivera is creating an Active Transportation Plan — and we want your input!
Did you know that from 2019 to 2023 there were 735 injury collisions involving people, walking, biking, or driving in the City? Over that time, there were 97 collisions resulting in serious injury and 17 collisions resulting in a fatality on Pico Rivera streets. That’s 23 collisions per year that result in death or serious injury. People walking and biking are vulnerable road users as they are involved in 16% of total injury collisions but represent 26% of collisions resulting in serious injury or death in Pico Rivera. Finally, of the 735 collisions, over 80% are vehicle collisions. This plan presents an opportunity to improve safety, comfort, and mobility for all roadway users.
