The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) has launched the second phase of their Landmark Study to understand and measure the participation of women in the space sector at global level. This research follows the first phase of research, the Landmark Study on Gender Equality in the Space Sector, published last year.
Through this survey, we are seeking information on gender representation in private sector space organizations across different functions and roles, including in leadership positions. We are also seeking to understand measures taken by organizations such as policies or interventions that aim to advance gender equality. Your organisation will contribute to important global knowledge on gender representation and policies in the private sector of space and help us identify best ways to support the private sector going forward.
We will collect participating organisation's names across the private sector, but results will only be shared in aggregate at a regional/global level and no data will be linked specifically back to your organisation.
If you have any questions regarding this survey, or need help filling it in, please reach out to Dr Elise Stephenson, Consultant at Space4Women, at elise.stephenson@un.org / +61 409 210 131.
Thank you for filling in this survey and contributing to this important study. Responses are sought by 23 May 2025.
