The Medical Sciences Council (MSC/the Council) is proposing to update the scopes of practice for the practice of Medical Laboratory Science (MLS). The scopes describe the practice of MLS and the specific activities and roles that practitioners registered in each scope may undertake.
The Council is proposing several changes to the current scopes to ensure they remain relevant to the practice of medical laboratory science and support effective service delivery. The proposed changes are outlined in the consultation document on our website.
