The Board of ISQua have launched a new grant to support capacity and capability building projects in organisations that work in Low Income and Lower-Middle Income Countries. Before applying for this grant, please ensure your country is classified as either Low- Income or Lower-Middle Income HERE.
Examples of Eligible Project Types
- workforce development
- quality improvement collaboratives
- patient safety initiatives
- leadership development
- digital quality systems
- community/patient engagement initiatives
- sustainable education programmes
Eligibility Criteria
- The proposer must be based in, and actively working in a low- or middle-income country, as classified by the World Bank (2026).
- The proposer must be an ISQua Member (Institutional or Individual).
- Project teams may include non-members.
- The project must include patient/community co-design.
- The project must be completed within 12 months of approval.
Eligible Costs
- Costs directly related to the project
- Open-access publication fees for project-related papers
- An additional stipend of €2,000 for travel to the ISQua Conference and two complimentary registrations will be provided so you can present your work

Requirements for Successful Applicants
- Mid-project progress updates every three months.
- Submission of a final report to the Board upon project completion, to include a financial report and outcome metrics.
Successful Applicants will also be encouraged to:
- Submit a manuscript to an ISQua journal (publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief)
- Present the project at an ISQua webinar
- Present the project at the ISQua Conference
Value of Grant: €15,000
Please note: If you pass the preliminary review of applications, you will be asked to send ISQua a letter of support from your organisation/team.
