Primary Schools and Shared Parenting: Parent's Survey

This survey aims to understand how primary schools in Ireland can better understand and support the needs of children and their families post parental separation/divorce, or when in shared parenting arrangements.

This research is being conducted by independent research consultants funded contracted by One Family and The Separation Network with funds from WHAT WORKS. We know every family is different, and we value your experience.

The survey should take 8–10 minutes to complete. It is open to people living in Ireland who have a child in primary school, or who recently left (2022-2025) and are sharing parenting in some capacity.
Your responses will help inform national guidelines which we hope will support children in classrooms around Ireland from families who are sharing parenting.

The survey is anonymous and confidential we will not ask for names of you, your child, or the school. No personal details will be collected. Responses will be combined with others and may be used (anonymously) in reports and communications.

All data will be securely stored and used only for this research, in line with GDPR (Privacy Policy – One Family), by an independent researcher. If you have any questions about your data or your rights, you can contact us at gdpr@onefamily.ie. If you have any other questions about the survey please contact akelly@onefamily.ie

Taking part in this survey is entirely voluntary, and you may stop at any time. Please note that the survey is fully anonymous, so once you have submitted your response, it will not be possible to withdraw or remove it.
