Thank you for your interest in representing the United States and USA Ultimate at the 2027 World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) World U-24 Ultimate Championships!

This is a lengthy application, so feel free to complete it in steps. As long as you use the same browser and device, you should be able to save and come back.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?

Players eligible to represent the United States and USA Ultimate on the U-24 National Team must meet the following criteria:

A) Be U.S. citizen or meet National Team requirements set forth by WFDF (email juane@hq.usaultimate.org for help with WFDF policies);
B) Will be current, 2026 and 2027, USA Ultimate members;
C) Must not turn twenty-four (24) years old before January 1, 2028 (born in 2004 or later);
D) Have parent/guardian permission (if under 20);
E) Will agree to abide by the team code of conduct;
F) Will respect the decisions of the selection committee;
G) Will be able to attend training camp and the trip to the world championship event.

In addition to the criteria listed above, players must also have demonstrated the highest level of spirit of the game and will be evaluated based on their skills, athleticism, leadership, teamwork, and performance. Additional consideration will be given to geographic diversity.
TRYOUT INVITE TIMELINE
  • June 30th, 2026: Application and recommendations due
  • Late August, 2026: Applicants invited to tryout camps*
  • September, 2026: Players invited to tryout camp confirm attendance and pay tryout camp fees
  • November 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, 2026: Tryout camp weekends (two will be selected, one in an east coast location and the other near the west coast)
TEAM SELECTION, TRAINING & COMPETITION
  • December, 2026: Team selection decisions sent to athletes
  • Spring 2027: Team training weekend (US location TBD)
  • Late June, 2027: Team training week (International location TBD)
  • Early July, 2027: World Under-24 Ultimate Championships in TBD
*Applicants not initially selected for an invitation will be placed on a waitlist. Applicants may be invited to participate in a tryout off of the waitlist at any time.
