Environment Rep Seat
The Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) are currently looking for One Environment PPN Representative for their committee. Each Local Authority area has established a LCDC to develop, coordinate and implement local and community development in an integrated way.
Each LCDC brings together local authority members and officials, State agencies and people actively working with local development, community development, and economic, cultural and environmental organisations to implement a joined-up, cross-sectoral approach to local and community development programming.
The LCDCs includes representation from public, private sector and socio-economic partners drawn from county Tipperary local authority administrative area. The LCDC has membership consisting of 19 members. This allows for a range for opinions and perspectives to be represented by key local interests, while being sufficiently tight to ensure the focused and effective operation of the LCDC.
Tipperary LCDC is made up of 9 public sector members and ten private sector member. Public sector members include the local authority members, local authority officials and State Agencies.

- Community and voluntary interests (PPN nominated) x2
- Social inclusion interests (PPN nominated) x2
- Environmental interests-(PPN nominated) x2
- Local Development Companies (North Tipperary Development Company and South Tipperary Development Company) x2
- Farming/agriculture interests and Business interests x2
LCDC draws on the expertise and experience of public and private representatives within Tipperary to provide effective and efficient services to all citizens and communities of Tipperary.

- Has primary responsibility for coordinating, planning and overseeing local and community development funding
- Brings a more joined-up approach to the implementation of local and community development programmes using a collaborative approach to local community-based services across providers and delivery structures
- Drives meaningful citizen and community engagement in the scoping, planning, delivery and evaluation of local and community development programmes
- Works to create cohesive structures that result in better value for money in the management and delivery of programmes
- Focuses on learning and feedback and enhances the links between service delivery and policy development
- Follows opportunities for additional funding for the area
