London Borough of Merton Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy: Resident Feedback

Before we get started

The London Borough of Merton (LBM) is currently reviewing its Sexual Health Strategy and refreshing it for 2027–2032. Our plan is to build on our previous Sexual Health Strategy with the aim of continuing to improve sexual and reproductive health in the borough and to make sure local services are accessible to everyone.

To get this right, we need to hear from our residents, those studying, working or socialising in the borough, and our service users. Your views and needs will directly shape how our strategic priorities and actions to improve sexual health in Merton are designed, delivered and improved over the coming years.

What do we mean by sexual, reproductive and HIV services?

For the purposes of this survey the term ‘sexual health’ includes services and support related to sex, relationships, contraception, pregnancy and the prevention, testing, and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV.

The types of services provided include contraception (including coils and implants), emergency contraception, STI testing and treatment, free condoms, pregnancy testing, sexual health advice, HIV prevention (PrEP and PEP), and vaccinations such as HPV and hepatitis B. It also includes sex and relationships education, targeted support for people at higher risk of poor sexual health, and support for people living with HIV and their families, including counselling and peer support.

These services may be provided through GP practices, pharmacies, schools and colleges, specialist sexual health clinics, and outreach services.

Nudge Associates Ltd have been contracted by Merton Council to lead development of the new strategy/action plan and will be running this survey and analysing responses to support this.

This survey is for people aged 16+. There is no identifiable data collected so we will not be asking for your name or contact details. Your answers are anonymous. Answers will be collated to inform the strategy and action plan.

Please be mindful that not every question will be relevant to you and you can skip to the next question. This survey takes around 10 minutes.

Your voice matters to us. Thank you for taking part.
