Through a strategic alliance, Joint Commission and NAHQ are offering annual scholarships to support attainment of the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ®) credential. This initiative aims to strengthen healthcare quality professionals’ competencies and advance excellence in quality and safety.

About CPHQ:
CPHQ is the only accredited certification in healthcare quality. Peer-reviewed research demonstrates that CPHQ holders consistently outperform non-certified peers in competency (Miltner et al., 2021).

Application Process:
Applicants must submit:
· A completed contact and organizational application
· Statements on how the scholarship will enhance quality and safety in their organization
· List of potential recipients

Timeline:
· Deadline: June 22, 2026, 11:59 p.m. CT
· Recipients announced in the Fall.

Eligibility:
· Recipients must be employed by a Joint Commission-accredited healthcare organization with current accreditation/certification. Only one application per organization will be accepted.
· Each organization must identify a minimum of three individuals, maximum of 10.
· Individuals must be able to study and sit for the exam within one year of receiving the scholarship.

Selection Criteria:
Four organizations will be selected based on the strength of the application, commitment to quality and safety, and alignment with program goals; applications are evaluated for organizational readiness, leadership support, and potential impact on quality improvement initiatives.
