Dear colleagues,
My name is Jule Gudmundsdottir. I am a resident in the Department of Emergency and Critical Care at the Small Animal Clinic of the University of Bern, Vetsuisse Faculty.
As part of my residency project and my dissertation, I am conducting a survey titled "
RESPOND" (
Research on
Emergency
Services and
Practice
Of
Nighttime and
Daytime Veterinary Care).
The aim of this study is to
analyse emergency case presentation in small animal veterinary facilities across Europe and to gain a comprehensive picture of the current situation and the existing challenges.
The focus is on:
- the importance of emergency medicine during veterinary studies,
- further training opportunities in the field of emergency medicine,
- the current number of emergencies in your practice/clinic,
- the organisation and implementation of emergency services,
- and the psychological strain on veterinarians.
The data collected will help highlight structural problems, provide a better understanding of the reality of care provision and, where necessary, provide incentive for necessary changes and relief models.
The questionnaire takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.
All data will be treated confidentially. No information will be collected that could allow conclusions to be drawn about you or your practice. Participation is voluntary, and you may choose to discontinue the survey at any time. By clicking
“NEXT”, you confirm that you have read and understood the purpose of this study and your rights as an informed participant, and that your responses may be used for analysis and publication.
For any questions or comments, please feel free to contact

Thank you very much for your time and valuable support!
Kind regards
Jule Gudmundsdottir, DVM
