TWO-QUESTION survey! Help us decide which Decision Aids are most needed!

The Coalition for Compassionate Care of California has received funding from the ELEA Institute to develop five new patient-centered decision aids – brief, plain-language descriptions of medical treatments or procedures that may be offered in the context of serious illness or health crisis. Each decision aid describes the procedure/treatment, who it’s for, what outcomes might be expected, the risks entailed, and its impact on quality of life.

Currently, our suite of decision aids address CPR, Ventilation, Tube Feeding, and Artificial Hydration, and they are available for adults in English, Spanish, Chinese, Punjabi, Russian, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, and for pediatric patients in English. Since 2018, these decision aids have been utilized by more than 135 healthcare organizations and distributed to more than 365,000 patients.

CCCC will develop additional decision aids and to expand the offerings to other languages. We need your input to prioritize which treatments are most in need of this kind of patient-centered decision aid. Our intent is to identify treatments/procedures that may offer the possibility of real benefit but may also impose significant burdens or risks.

Please complete our TWO-QUESTION survey to assist us in this project. We would appreciate your response by February 13, 2026. Thank you!
