Application Form

The Arts Participation Fund is a fund set up by Whirinaki Whare Taonga and Upper Hutt City Council which aims to assist young people where financial hardship as a result of COVID-19 is a barrier to participation in art and culture.

This may include (but is not limited to) dance, music, art, theatre and cultural activity etc.

Application Criteria:

1. The applicant’s immediate family is unable as a result of
COVID-19, to support them in providing the necessary
equipment, clothing, fees or other related costs to enable
participation in art and culture.
2. The applicant must live in Upper Hutt and be aged 5 - 18
3. The completed application is genuinely in aid of assisting
participation in art and cultural activity which otherwise
would not take place.
4. A quote is are required for clothing, footwear and equipment.
5. A letter from the club/school/class/group with a cost
breakdown of fees is required if applying for fees/subs.
6. Funding will not be given retrospectively.
7. The maximum amount that can be granted for a single
applicant is $500 + GST
