Flag Option #1 - Designed by Brooke Nugent
This flag features two diagonal white lines that extend from the top left and right corner to the bottom center of the flag, giving the appearance of the letter v. The upper portion of the flag is green, while the lower portion is blue. The green portion of the flag forms a triangle in the center. Two white shapes in the middle of the green area are similar to the shape of historic Fort Vancouver.
Design description

This design honors Vancouver’s natural beauty and legacy using a Pacific Northwest palette. Blue represents the Columbia River and surrounding mountains; green reflects the city’s forests, wetlands, and parks. The white “V” evokes Vancouver, Fort Vancouver’s historic fence, and upward paths of growth. The abstract form nods to Fort Vancouver, the Salmon Run Bell Tower, and an arrow pointing toward continued progress.
