The Kingston Economic Recovery Team (KERT) would like to ask workers in the community how the COVID-19 crisis has affected their employment and workplace. This survey asks some basic demographic questions, as well as questions about your recent work experience and about how the pandemic has affected you personally.

Your participation in the survey is completely voluntary. Your responses to the survey questions and any other information you provide will be completely anonymous.

This survey should take about 20 minutes to complete. Upon completing this survey, you will have the option to be entered in a draw to win one of five $25 gift cards to a local Kingston business.

This survey is being facilitated by the City of Kingston, on behalf of the KERT. All information received will be compiled and considered by City of Kingston staff for use by the KERT. Information will be collected and used in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and other relevant privacy legislation. All comments made on this survey may form part of public records. If you have questions regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information collected through this survey, please contact communications@cityofkingston.ca

The survey will remain open until August 13, 2020.

Some questions are sensitive in nature and may be a source of distress. If you are facing anxiety or stress as a result of COVID-19, you can refer to trusted sources like Addiction and Mental Health Services - KFLA, or reach out to your local healthcare provider or KFL&A Public Health. The KERT will use the survey results to help inform the development of employment related initiatives that respond to this pandemic including re-skilling and rapid redeployment.

If you have any questions or comments about the KERT worker impact survey, please contact Craig Desjardins, Director of Strategy, Innovation and Partnerships for the City of Kingston at cmdesjardins@CityofKingston.ca.
