Overview
The Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Foundation values nursing education and practice and wants to support its members in their research endeavors and their pursuit of advanced degrees. The objective of this grant funding is to promote the implementation and publication of research related to associate degree nursing education and practice.
Grants will be awarded in an amount of up to $5,000. The recipient will be recognized at the 2026 OADN Convention, Empowering the ADN Educator: Flourishing with Strength and Sustainability, at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter, in San Antonio, TX, November 12 - 14, 2026.

Criteria for Application:
- Applicants for the OADN Foundation Research Grant must be active members of OADN, holding an individual membership or a school program membership.
- The subject of the research proposal must be related to associate degree nursing education and/or nursing practice.
- The completed grant application must be submitted on or before the deadline of May 15, 2026.
Instructions: Applicants must complete all components of the application outlined below and submit by the deadline date of May 15, 2026 to be considered:
- Statement of Professional Objectives: A letter of interest, not to exceed 150 words, attesting that you meet the above-stated criteria with a summary of your research grant proposal and statement of professional objectives.
- Grant Proposal: Please include the following information (please note - proposals should not exceed 1000 words and must be submitted without identifying information for blind review):
- Title
- Background
- Purpose
- Research Design
- Timeline
- Statement of IRB approval, if applicable
- Budget
- Dissemination plans
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Please include a current CV of applicant(s) (see file upload instructions)
- W-9 Form When requested, Form W-9 Request for Taxpayer Identification and Certification is needed: W-9 (irs.gov)
Rating Criteria: Applications will be rated on the following criteria:
- A compelling rationale and clear focus for the study based on relevant literature.
- Information about the research design, setting, participants, and/or sources of data.
- Research question development and plan for data collection and analyses.
- Appropriate budget and timeline.
- The plan for dissemination of the findings.
