Girl Scouts in 9th-11th grade are invited to serve as a Girl Director on the GSWO Board of Directors for the 2026-2027 term. For the 2026-2027 term Girl Directors will begin their year of service at the Annual Council Meeting in April 2026 and conclude at the Annual Council Meeting in April 2027. Girl Directors are expected to sign and fulfill the Girl Director Agreement during their year of service.

Girl members of the GSWO Board of Directors must:
- be at least 14 years old as of April 1, 2026
- be in high school
- reside in one of the 32 counties that GSWO serves
- maintain a current Girl Scout membership

Application Process:
For Girl Directors, girls must complete the application and provide contact information for 2, non-related, adult references who support their application. After applications and references are reviewed by the CEO, selected applicants are invited to interview no later than December 15, 2025. Girls will be notified whether they have been selected as a Girl Board Director no later than January 31, 2026.

Applicants for a girl member of the GSWO Board of Directors may not be related to current GSWO staff members. Applications must be received by the end of the day, November 1, 2025.
