The Director of Development & Partnerships leads the development and execution of organizational strategies to generate sustainable revenue, elevate the visibility of the Anticoagulation Forum, and cultivate long-term, mission-aligned partnerships that advance excellence in thrombosis care.

This role will identify, secure, and steward corporate sponsors and partners, serve as a key external ambassador, and strengthen the organization’s presence within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical technology sectors while ensuring ethical, compliant, and mutually beneficial collaborations.
Key Responsibilities

Revenue Generation & Strategy
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and secure corporate sponsorships, grants, and other funding opportunities that align with the organization’s mission
  • Systematically lead efforts to identify and engage relevant companies in the thrombosis/hemostasis space, both domestically and in key global markets
  • Lead the development and writing of funding proposals
  • Research and pursue non-industry opportunities for funding including government contracts and private foundations
  • Recruit and promote industry Corporate Council membership
  • Secure exhibitors and satellite symposium sponsorships at our National Conference and organizational events
Partnership Development & Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry contacts, key stakeholders, and strategic partners
  • Serve as primary liaison for corporate sponsors, ensuring high-level stewardship
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of funded projects with staff and committees, and monitor progress to ensure fulfillment of all partnership benefits
Visibility & Brand Advancement
  • Increase organizational visibility and presence within business community
  • Represent the organization at high-priority conferences and events
  • Identify opportunities to position the organization as a trusted thought leader
Organizational Leadership
  • Manage the Business Development Committee, ensuring clear communication and follow-through
  • Monitor and track business development performance across key domain goals
  • Actively contribute to organizational planning and initiatives, supporting team collaboration and shared success
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ethical standards, and nonprofit best practices
Qualifications & Skills
  • US-licensed healthcare professional (MD, NP, PA, PharmD, RN)
  • Two or more years of clinical practice experience
  • Two or more years of work experience as a Medical Science Liaison or comparable
  • Established professional network in the fields of thrombosis and hemostasis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated record of successful professional presentations/public speaking
  • Strong experience in professional writing (grants, proposals, peer-reviewed publications)
  • Organized data management and tracking skills for proposals, grants, and projects
Additional Information
  • Competitive salary (range $135K/yr - $150K/yr) commensurate with experience
