Post-stroke cognitive screening: a survey of current practices globally |
Participant Information Sheet
Post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI) is a common, yet overlooked, complication of stroke that significantly affects recovery, independence, and quality of life. Yet, several uncertainties hinder epidemiological and interventional studies of PSCI, including the uptake of cognitive screening tools across different income regions, heterogeneity in cognitive screening tools and assessment time points, and limited longitudinal assessments for patients with PSCI. This study aims to explore healthcare professionals’ training, confidence, current practices, and perceived barriers related to cognitive screening in clinical settings. This survey has been approved by the UKM Research Ethics Committee, Kuala Lumpur, and should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. All responses will be de-identified for the final report. Before participating in this study, please take time to read and understand the information in this Information Sheet and the eligibility criteria.
