Thank you for your interest in the King County Transit Advisory Commission (TAC). The role of the TAC is to advise Metro’s staff members and general manager, the King County Executive and Council, local jurisdictions, and related transportation boards concerning transit policy issues, projects, and programs. Please visit our webpage for more information.

The TAC is a volunteer commission made of community members representing each of the nine King County Council districts (see a district map). Each member is appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council by motion. Membership includes transit riders, family members of transit riders, and/or potential transit riders.

Individuals selected to serve on a King County board or commission will also be required to complete a King County Ethics Program Financial Disclosure Form within two weeks of being nominated to serve on a King County board or commission.

PLEASE NOTE: Information provided on this form will be a public record subject to free and open examination by any person under the Washington State Public Records Act (RCW 42.56.250). However, while we will disclose the applicant’s name, the following will be redacted: applicant’s address, phone number and email address.

Member time commitment and required activities

Attend 2-hour monthly meetings held on the third Tuesday, 6– 8p.m.
Attend subcommittee meetings as needed
Attend yearly retreat (time and date for 2023 TBD)

The TAC meetings are held virtually via Zoom until further notice. Once it is safe to do so, we will return to in-person meetings held in King Street Center, Seattle.
