1. Thank you for your interest in applying to become a With Youth For Youth (WYFY) Member! The Michigan Afterschool Partnership is recruiting the second cohort of youth ages 14-18 to serve the purpose of supporting out-of-school time and youth sports programs that incorporate youth voice and decision-making. The With Youth For Youth initiative will serve as a model for youth power inclusion, youth-led systems change, and community impact across the southeast Michigan region.

Mission: The Michigan Afterschool Partnership advocates for equitable systems that support and expand quality out-of-school time experiences for all youth in the state.

Vision: The out-of-school time (OST) sector is a leader in equipping young people and adults across Michigan with the high-quality, youth-driven, and equitable experiences and resources they need to thrive in school, work, and life.

Belonging – We create environments where all MASP partners and staff feel that they are seen, heard, and valued

Each With Youth For Youth member can earn up to $3,500 stipend for full participation, as outlined in the WYFY agreement, and paid quarterly.

To apply you will need:
  • To be 14-18 years of age
  • Reside in Southeast Michigan: Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties.
  • Complete the application
  • Complete orientation requirements
  • Attend monthly in-person Saturday sessions.
