Thank you for your interest in attending Jardines de Espacios: Picturing the Latino/e Perinatal Journey in Dane County.
Our goal is to center the lived realities of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum as experienced by Latina and immigrant Latina women, and to begin a shared conversation about:
- Recognizing how systems of care can unintentionally silence, distance, or dehumanize the people they are meant to serve.
- Reflecting on the personal and structural power we each hold within every relationship of care.
- Practicing empathy by sitting with discomfort, listening deeply, and seeing beyond the narratives that divide us.
- Examining the biases we all carry and embracing accountability through our shared humanity.
- Imagining how relationships rooted in curiosity, humility, and horizontal power can transform systems of care.
Live interpretation between English and Spanish will be available throughout the program.
Nourishing refreshments will be provided.
