Women in leadership: Insights to impact survey 2026 |
Introduction
We know a lot about the problems women face advancing their careers into leadership. But we know very little about the solutions, or what is actually having the most impact on supporting women into leadership roles.
This has implications across society and business as organisations struggle to attract and retain great talent, close their gender pay gaps, represent the customers and communities they serve, and build adaptive and resilient workplace cultures where people and businesses thrive.
The purpose of this survey is to:
- capture what organisations across New Zealand are currently doing to support women into leadership roles,
- identify what is having the most positive impact on women's careers, and;
- provide insights into where organisations can focus their resources and attention for maximum impact.
You are invited to participate if you identify, or live, as a woman in New Zealand AND are in a leadership role or are on a clear pathways to being.
For example you:
- Hold a formal leadership position within your organisation. In that you are recognised by your organisation as a leader of people or in a position of influence.
- Are on a trajectory to leadership, either identified as such by your organisation or it is your personal career development aspirations AND you are taking steps in that direction.
- Wield informal influence over a community group as a ‘thought leader’ or group organiser.
You will be asked questions about:
Part One: Your current organisation and what they are doing to support women's careers.
Part Two: What has had the most impact on your career into leadership.
This survey should take about 7-10 minutes to complete.
