Oak Bluff Community School is replacing its approximately 30-year-old playground, which is now deteriorating, partially removed, and no longer safe or inclusive for students or the wider community. The existing playground lacks accessible features and sits on pea gravel surfacing, limiting participation for children with mobility needs. With over 200 students relying on the space, the need for a replacement is urgent. The new playground will introduce accessible surfacing and inclusive play elements, ensuring children of all abilities can play together and strengthening connection in a growing community.

Eastview Community Park Redevelopment (Regina, SK)
The Queen City Eastview Community Association is leading a full redevelopment of Eastview Community Park into a modern, fully accessible community playground in Regina. The existing park no longer meets current accessibility expectations, and the redevelopment is aligned with updated City of Regina standards introduced in 2025. Once complete, the park will serve as a multi-generational gathering space that supports inclusive play, physical activity, and community connection in an established neighbourhood.

Calgary Humane Society Inclusive Playground (Calgary, AB)
Calgary Humane Society is planning to build an inclusive playground at its centre so that children and families visiting the facility can play, connect, and feel fully welcomed in the space. As a long-standing community organization that supports both animals and people, Calgary Humane Society sees growing visitation from school groups, families, and community members, but currently lacks a play space that is accessible for children of all abilities. The new playground will include accessible surfacing and inclusive play features designed for children with a wide range of physical, sensory, and social needs. The space will also support Calgary Humane Society’s humane education efforts by creating opportunities for children to learn about empathy, kindness, responsible pet care, and the human-animal bond through play and community engagement. This space will extend the organization’s mission of compassion beyond animal care, creating an environment where every visitor, regardless of ability, can feel included, engaged, and part of the community experience.
